I proposed this idea to my directors. Taking the "RAK Nomination" trend and bringing it to a corporate level. We launched this initiative to challenge brands and businesses to take a few hours out of their week and spread awareness and empathy at a corporate level, while contributing to a worthy cause. Five members of The Student Network contacted clients and assembled 110 packed lunches and 36 ready meals. The packed lunches were given to the homeless on the streets of Dublin and 36 ready meals were given to the Capucian Centre in Smithfield. The video was thought of on Thursday morning and implemented by Friday morning. Our clients were keen to help: they prepared the food within 24 hours. Our train of thought was, if this is what can be done in one day by a small firm-- what can other, larger companies achieve in one week? We wanted them to accept our challenge and make a difference to others because we all have a responsibility to make the world a little brighter.
